A miniature N2/H2 generator, only consuming electricity and H2O, was utilized to yield reducing atmosphere for Cd vaporization; MgO filler was modified to absorb matrix interferent and keep Hg and Cd transportation via 1st catalytic pyrolysis furnace (CPF); and a gearing was employed to move 2nd CPF to receive and trap (amalgamation) the vaporized Hg from ETV and then thermo-release them for simultaneous detection.. Under optimized conditions, the limits of detection of Cd and Hg reached 0.02–0.04 ng/g using 0.4 g sample size. |
